Less than two hours away from big urbanized cities nestles a wild land : the bay of Somme. Club member of the most beautiful bays in the world and certified Grand Site de France, over the course of the tides and the seasons, the bay of Somme offers blow minding sceneries in perpetual motion : a wide colour range, immense skies and magical ligts.
Seals and migratory birds made no mistake about it. They found at the heart of the nature reserve a priviliged stop where they can act like divas on the shore.
The 72km long coast offers a great diveristy of sceneries : We love strolling from the softness of the fine sand to the perfection of the round and slightly blue pebbles, passing by the hugeness of the vertiginiously high cliffs and the between land and sea sceneries of the estuary of the Bay of Somme.
In Cayeux-sur-Mer : We walk on the Europe’s longest wooden path bordered by 400 beach huts.
In Saint-Valery-sur-Somme, We wander along the cobbled and flowered alleys of the medieval town. We get on board of a pirogue or of a sea kayak to observe the seals from the sea,

In Le Crotoy We enjoy the charms of a little fishing port and the long sandy beach (the only south-facing one). It is also a heaven for shellfish gatherer : we pick up cockles and glassworts on the beach called La Maye
South from the Picardian coast, from Ault to Mers-Les-Bains, going by Bois de Cise emerge the great cliffs of the Pays de Caux. At 80m above the sea level those chalk monuments impose their steep shapes to the english channel.
In Mers-les-Bains : we celebrate the Art Nouveau and we admire the decorative exhuberance of the Belle Epoque villas.

North, more than 3000 hectares are occupied by the Marquenterre sand dunes sweeped by beach grass
In Quend-plage-les-pains and Fort-Mahon-Plage, we take advantage of the fine sandy beaches to try sand yacht. Adrenaline and salty sea air guarranted
It is also a perfect starting point for cycling in the pine forest and for reaching across the secured paths, the Ornithological Park of Le Marquenterre.
